The Elantra features the new 1.8 Nu engine, which is the newest member of the Hyundai gasoline engine family. The all-aluminium Nu engine is lightweight but also strong thanks to its reinforced ladder frame construction. Pushed to the limit, it’s capable of up 110kW @ 6,500 rpm while producing 178 Nm of peak torque at 4,700 rpm. The Elantra also features MDPS (Motor Drive Power Steering) which uses electric current and motor to assist in different situations from parking to highway driving, which in turn helps save fuel and more money in your wallet.
